How much should i expect to get from my college books if i sell them back ?

I just paid $170 for a math book? About How much should i expect to get back for it? How much should i expect to get from my college books if i sell them back ?
Not much. Usually if the books are unmarked they'll give you back around 25% of what you paid. How much should i expect to get from my college books if i sell them back ?
Text book buy back is typically 50% of the original value, based on condition condition and demand of the book. How much should i expect to get from my college books if i sell them back ?
The bookstores I'm familiar with tend to give you about 50% of what you paid for them. . . presuming you haven't done too much to it and/or they don't bother to even check. . . and presuming they're not using a different book for that class next semester.

I think the best thing you could probably do is just try to find another student who's going to want the book next semester. You might be able to get 75% or more back that way, but you still have the problem of needing to find a buyer. Ask around among friends, perhaps?

Either that, of your could always just keep the book if you think it'll ever have a use as a reference. I did that with a lot of books, and a few I've even pulled back out again every once in a long while over the years.
