If you buy from a reseller just make sure they have good feedback. Order now for next term you will not get your book in time. I go to the book store and copy the isbn numbers down. That way you will be sure to get the right book. Another tip is to make sure you don't buy the teacher ed. as it might seam like a good idea but ends up being harder to learn. I've always purchased my books from half.com and usually found the best prices however you will need to know the ISBN's or all the detail to ensure you get the right books as its not just a site for college text books.
one other suggestion (if you can plan in advance):



go to the last day of class for the class you will take the next semester (make sure the reading list is *exactly* the same). if this is possible... you will undoubtedly be able to buy a book for about 50% of the new cost, since students will only get 25% from the bookstore. yeah... it takes some planning and some legwork, but it's another way to get used books.
