Question about ordering books online for college courses?

I start second semester of college soon and I heard that ordering your books online is way cheaper then buying them on campus. My roommate always buys hers like a week before class starts but how do you know what book you're supposed to buy for your specific class?Question about ordering books online for college courses?
My campus had a two week return policy on books. So I would go to the book store and buy all my books. Then go back and look them up online. If they were cheaper online then I would buy them online and return the book to the book store without using it. If they were not cheaper or if I could not find them online then I would keep the one from the book store.Question about ordering books online for college courses?
It's usually on the school's textbook website. Some professors email the class a week or two beforehand to tell them about the textbook. You can also visit the bookstore and write down what textbooks you need.Question about ordering books online for college courses?
www.half.com is a website powered by eBay which allows you to sell or buy textbooks. From experience books are always cheaper here. You can search by title, author, or ISBN code on the back of the book.
A good textbook rental site is chegg.com. I've been using them for about 3 years and never had a problem! Here's a promo code for 5% off: CC108649
