Where is a good place to sell college books?

I live in MI, and I didnt want to send my books away by mail and not get my money.

where have you personally sent your books to?Where is a good place to sell college books?
I would stay away from Craigslist, because you never know what you're getting into with that site. I personally have sold books from amazon and half.com and I've NEVER had any problems whatsoever and I've been doing it for over 5 years.

You should check out this article for places to sell your books to online: http://makecollegereality.com/succeed/ge鈥?/a> They are all legitimate sites. Some are marketplace type sites like amazon and half.com where you sell each book individually, and others are sites that buy and sell used textbooks. For those sites, you tell them which books you have and they'll give you a quote. You just ship the books to them and they'll pay you when they receive them.

If you're really nervous about not getting your money back, buy the tracking option for the books so you can prove that they reached the person or site you sold it to if you have any problems.Where is a good place to sell college books?
I do not fully understand your question, because why would you mail your books and be concern with not getting paid? If you are using ebay for example the customer must purchase (meaning send the funds) or they don't get the book. So, just as there is buyer protection, there is also seller protection.

If you don't want to sell them online, you can sell them back to your campus bookstore. Of course more often than not you will not get half what you paid. A second place is textbook stores around your campus - they 'could be' a little better than your campus bookstore.

If you want to sell the online, half.com is a good place and amazon.com. I have used both (prefer half.com its a partner company with ebay).Where is a good place to sell college books?
Depends whether you want to make money or not...

If you want to make some money then you're going to have to put in a little bit of work...

If you want the easy way to sell your books then bring them to the College campus but they will give you such a low amount of money for your books that you're probably better off just keeping them.

If you want a "good" place to sell college books I wouldn't suggest e-bay because it could be too complicated at times the very BEST thing you could do is this..

First, go to your college campus bookstore and search for the books that you own and then once you've found them start writing down the prices; making sure that the book that you own hasnt been replaced by a more revised edition of the book (you might also be able to check your school website for the prices, so you dont have to physically step into the school).

Second, once you know all the prices of the books that you have make a flyer on Word with all of the relevant information that a student (your target market) would need in order to get them to call you to buy your book. Your flyer should include: your name, telephone number, all of the books in your possession, and the prices of what the school bookstore sells them compared with what your prices are... Generally your prices should be lower especially if they are used but for no reason at all should they be lower than what the college campus would give you (Because the college campus lowballs). Most likely, if you sell the books you have at half price of what the book costs brand new you'll be selling it at a good price and you'll most likely be making more than what the campus store would have offered you...Ultimately, you have to check to see if the numbers work out but trust me don't sell your books to the campus unless you really don't want to be bothered with all this extra effort..

Third, print out your flier, photocopy it, and staple them all over the bulletin boards around the school, you could also post the adds on free sites like craigslist or any other local buy/sell online marketplace... you might need a permit and such to post the flyers from student services but I would just go ahead and post them anyway and if they come asking just say you didnt know... dont do it the second time though...

Assuming your in school and youre REALLY smart you could do what I did and buy your books used and then sell them used, that way you will never spend ANY money on your books at all! I actually made money by the end of it all!

Happy Selling :)
