Why are college books so expensive?

Iv just spent $800 on 4 college books alone . This is borderline ridiculous. They add useles accessories which are rarely used like cd's and recycle the same junk in a different edition every year, which makes it difficult to sell back the old editions. Honestly, i feel like im being raped every year at the college bookstoreWhy are college books so expensive?
I know how you feel. The average text book for me can cost up to 拢70. They charge that much because they can make a huge profit from up, regardless of that fact that we are students living on a budget and already paying a load of money for tuition and accommodation and general living.

It's just the way it is really, as rubbish as it is.

I tip I do is to search sites like amazon which often have the same books sometimes but for a smaller price (although still expensive), there never going to be cheap really are they. And when you can try and loan them out of the library for free when they are in, although I know this is a rarity. Or get down early if your college has a sale/ discounts off which they sometimes do.Why are college books so expensive?
Don't buy them from the campus bookstore. You can save a LOT of money by buying them online from amazon, half, ebay, chegg, etc. You can also ask your professors if a previous edition of the book would be ok and save even more money.
