Several years ago our local library published a list of "must read" books for college-bound students. Supposedly, people who had read the books fared better in school than those who hadn't read them. The only one I remember was "Catcher in the Rye". Does anyone know what books were on this list? Or have any suggestions of books that should be on the list? I think there were about 20 books.List of books to read to succeed in college?
I also have a list given to me by a college bound program I attended. I'll name several (it has more than 20):
Animal Farm, George Orwell
Brave New World, Aldous Huxley
Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury
Lord of the Flies, William Golding
Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald
Scarlet Letter, Nathaniel Harthorne
Siddhartha, Herman Hesse
To Kill A Mockingbird, Harper Lee
Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen
I also provided a link in sources where there are many others. Enjoy :]List of books to read to succeed in college?
