Is there time to get your college books after classes start, or should you always buy them before?

Just wondering because i was going to use my financial aid check to get the books, but we don't get them until after classes start....I was wondering if theres usually some times to get the books after the class starts? Is there time to get your college books after classes start, or should you always buy them before?
Yeah it's a good idea to wait anyway. Sometimes the books are listed as "required" in the book store but then you get the instructor's syllabus and the book isn't even on it. Just wait, find out which books you'll actually need and which ones you may be able to just borrow from the library (if you only have one assignment from it, for example.)Is there time to get your college books after classes start, or should you always buy them before?
Always wait until after the first class to buy textbooks.

Some times the book that is listed on the time of sign up is not the book the teacher ends up using. If this happens you might end up out of the 100-300 dollars you spent. If the teacher uses the textbook on the first day of class just get cozy with some one in class and share until you go out and get your own.
