What are some good college level books to read?

I'm 15, and my dad told me I need to read more college level books.

Anyway, to sum it up, a few of the books I've read are:

The Metamorphose

Heart of Darkness

The Iliad

The Odyssey

Any suggestions? Thanks!

If you've read 'The Metamorphosis' by Kafka, you really should read 'The Trial,' Kafka's best work.

If you like Conrad, you'll probably like Robert Louis Stevenson as well, purely from the 'adventure yarns' aspect. For crisp writing like Conrad's, try some Ambrose Bierce and Ernest Hemingway as well.

Classics: You've read Homer; try Virgil's 'Aeneid,' Ovid's 'Metamorphoses,' if that wasn't what you read in the first point, some of Sappho's poems, Suetonius' histories (12 Caesars), and Juvenal's 'Satires.'What are some good college level books to read?
Jeez, why are you listening to your old man like that? Reading should be spontaneous and uncontrolled. You should be reading more of what you WANT to now, because later on you'll miss that chance you got to read whatever you wanted to, when you're told what to read in your free time for a grade. I don't know, kid, go hang out in the library and go find something you want to read. Maybe it'll give you a break from your dad, and maybe you can read something racy, like "Lolita" or "A Clockwork Orange". Fight the man, girl. What are some good college level books to read?
