Is there a website where I can purchase college text books at a good price?

Well, I'm about to start school next semester, and I need to get my books for my classes. But nowadays, college text books are pretty expensive, and my job doesn't pay enough for me to cover the cost of the books that I need. I was wondering if there are some websites where I can get the needed text books at a price that doesn't totally empty my pockets? All suggestions will help.

Thank you.Is there a website where I can purchase college text books at a good price?
You can buy cheap college text books online from

Yes there's a website for discount textbooks, but the problem is that there are A LOT of websites where you can purchase (and rent, and sell) your college textbooks. And it can be a daunting task going through all of those sites. That's why I use http://www.bigwords.com They are a textbook search engine that searches all the online textbook retailers (including amazon, half, ebay etc) and rental sites (including chegg, bookrenter etc) to find you the best prices. You can even use them at the end of the semester to search for resellers to sell your books to.Is there a website where I can purchase college text books at a good price?
Textbooks are indeed very expensive. As far as a specific Web site is considered, Amazon.com is usually a good choice. Purchasing your textbooks online can be somewhat cheaper. However, if you plan to buy them new they can still be pretty expensive. It's best to buy used books whenever possible. However, buying used books online is a risk because you can't flip through the pages to see what kind of condition it is. You can get a book with torn or missing pages鈥攁nd the information missing from the book could be something you need to study for an exam. That said, there tons of other ways that you can save on textbooks without having to buy them online. Here is a great article http://www.onlinecollegecourses.com/2009鈥?/a> that gives you plenty of different options. Some ways the article suggests to save on costs is to order your textbook in an e-book format. E-books are usually offered at a fraction of a price and are much more convenient since you can download the book straight to your laptop or iPad. The article also advises buying your textbooks from resale book shops, reserving a copy of the book in your library for free, or renting your books from Chegg.com.
