Why do college books constantly change editions?

They constantly update books, edition after edition, you can't but a used book and the new ones cost a fortune like $150!

when they update they don't change much, they just add a little irrelevant pictures and website address!Why do college books constantly change editions?
because they only make money on the new books. Used books the person selling it makes the money. They move some chapters around (1 is now 5 ) add a sentence BAM new edition. This keeps the publisher and authors richWhy do college books constantly change editions?
Yep. They want you to buy the new book. They make it just different enough that it's hard to use the old book, and then stop printing the old one so that the schools have to tell you to buy the new one. It's a big scam.
