Can I sell my college books to my college's bookstore although I bought them elsewhere?

I'm looking for a cheaper way to get my college books and I have found some online elsewhere. Can I sell my college books to my college's bookstore although I bought them elsewhere?
It depends on the bookstore. I can tell you the largest college bookstore company (Follett) will buy a textbook from anywhere.

Large national companies will scan the barcode of the book and see if any of the colleges where they own stores will be requesting that particular book. If there are a lot, they will give you a high payback price...if not, they won't buy it back.

I learned that most bookstores will pay 10-40% of your original buying price. For example, for a 208$ book, they paid me back 44$. Your best bet is www.half.com...I (bought and sold) online last semester and was extremely happy with the prices I got and how much I was paid. Can I sell my college books to my college's bookstore although I bought them elsewhere?
Of course you can. You can sell your books at your college bookstore. But sometimes your college bookstore might not accept your book as they might have enough of the book on the shelf, none of the professors are using the book again, and if the book is very old. Usually, the best way to sell your book would be on the internet through sites such as ebay, amazon.com, etc. Another way could probably be selling your books to other students in person. Good luck at selling your books. Can I sell my college books to my college's bookstore although I bought them elsewhere?
The book just needs to have the same ISBN number. If it's different (often the case with international editions), then the answer is no, they wont buy them back even if the name and edition are identical.
It is also a good idea to consider selling your books back to other students. You will definitely profit more by doing that
