Absolute best is half.com. It is by ebay. I have never had a problem with them and when you sell books back, sell them to barnesandnobles.comCollege books?
i've heard half.com is pretty good. but i cant help but give you a little warning, none of those sites are completely safe as far as getting you the book you need. i worked at my school bookstore for a year and heard horror stories. people came in weeks into the semester and still hadn't gotten the book that was supposed to come in the first week of class. and the most common problem is that you may get the wrong edition of the book. make sure when you order it that you have the right title, author, and edition or it may be completely wrong for your class. if you're able to get the ISBN number you can be sure you have the right one. it's really a matter of whether you want to take the risk. while i hate paying an arm and a leg for my text books, i'd rather be absolutely sure i have the right book than save a hundred dollars or so. but i also have friends who get all of their books online and swear by it. either way, good luck!!
