Should I buy my college books before school starts?

Reason I'm asking this is because I'm getting them online for some pretty sweet deals and I don't want to wait and then it's not available for these prices. Do professors change the books they use? I will be a freshman and I'm adjusting to college life! Thanks a lot!Should I buy my college books before school starts?
You shouldn't buy your books too early because if you drop the class, you want to be able to return the books and get your money back. Your professor should not be changing the books they use. They might not get to one or two books at the end of the semester, but it's not on purpose.

You can save a lot of money by buying them online, but you'll only have between 7 and 30 days to return a book, depending on the site. So just make sure you time it right and you check out the return policies.

What I usually do is wait until classes start and I know which classes I'm taking. Then I buy my books online. While I'm waiting for my books, I buy them from the bookstore as well. When I get my books in the mail, I return the ones I got from the bookstore (just make sure to note when the last day to return books is! It's usually only about 2 weeks from the time classes start).

There are a lot of different places to buy books online. You can check out this article to find out which site would be best for you: http://makecollegereality.com/succeed/ge鈥?/a>
yes, sometimes they do. check with the college/university bookstore to find out exact titles/editions before you purchase. as long as you are sure you are getting the exact books the courses require. 2d, 3d editions may make a difference to the instructor. and what the instructor says makes a difference so, be careful on that point. you may even want to check into "used" books or how about this now-RENTAL. phunny how times change when you almost gota take out a separate loan just to pay for books. if you know the prices elsewhere and you are sure you are getting a good deal, then yeah!

I would get them now. I always get my books online before school starts. The professors shouldn't change the books if they have already posted what book it is that you need. The worst case scenario is that they don't ever use the book or rarely use it. In that case, just sell it online.
NO.

Thats a mistake many undergrads make. Yes, professors tend to change the books sometimes. I'd wait till after the first day to buy them.Should I buy my college books before school starts?
We were told by the college not to get books as professors may ask for certain years of the books they want, maybe an older one as compared to the newer one. We were told to wait.
What is up right now as the book for the class will just about always stay the book for that class.
Yes if it's a good deal now then take it! Don't hesitate, it's always good to be a head of the game and prepared.
It's a great deal...most likely if they're listed as the books they will use, they won't change.
