What are some interesting books for a 14 year old reading at college level? If you're really reading at 'college level' then you should be expanding your horizons beyond romances. Reading like an adult goes further than just being able to recognise difficult words. Romances are not generally written to anything like a 'college level'.
As for 'a book that would interest a 14 year old', it's impossible to say. All 14 year olds are different. I mean, I know what books interested me when I was 14, and they sure as hell weren't romances...
Try Diana Gaboldon's 'Outlander' Series. They're pretty big though.
When I was 15 I read Sara Donati's "Into the Wilderness", LOVED it, I was at first intimidated by the size, I had never read something so big before, but that book actually initiated my passion for reading.
Try those out.
Also Juliet Marillier - Daughter of the Forest
Jennifer Donnelly - The Winter Rose
Jules Watson - The White Mare
AND my new FAVORITE (G-R-E-A-T writer, BEAUTIFUL story) The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons
Good Luck :)What are some interesting books for a 14 year old reading at college level?
There's no such thing as "reading at college level". Reading ages stop at 16. Any adult book will be suitable...though romance and "love relationships" tend to be pretty trashy. Have you read any classic romances? Jane Austen's books?
Try classics and different genres. I read ALOT and have read classics from being 8. i enjoyed
Ray Robinson- Forgetting Zoe, even though its not a classic it was strong and was stuck in my mind for months.
I know "Duma Key" By stephen king is an amazing story, However it isnt romance. It has over 700 pages and alot of cussing but its a fantastic book! =D
Probably about time for you to start reading Tolstoy's novels and Chekhov's short stories.
Most romance books are not written on the college level.
