If you sell it back to your school's bookstore, you can expect around 25-30% of what you paid for it. But sometimes they dont buy it back because a new edition of the same book has arrived or if the school has replaced the book with some other book altogether.
I was once offered $5 for a book when I tried selling it back to the bookstore. I paid more than more than $200 when I purchased it from the same bookstore, but this was the worst case.
Another much better option is to sell your books to other students directly. For example:
-BookStore Selling New Book for $120
-Bookstore selling the used version of that book $70
-Bookstore offering you only $35 when you are selling it back to the bookstore
-You sell your book to another student for $65, you make more, the student purchasing the used book from you saves $5 dollars
