Unfortunately, about all I know of that you can do is just shop around for the best deal and then see what you do and don't want to keep at the end of a semester to sell back.



Definitely get used books if you can, as they're noticeably cheaper and generally still just fine inside if you take a look. However, $100 still is pretty cheap for even a lot of the used books in my field. . . so there's only so much you can do. Sometimes, there's another paperback edition published and put out in developing countries that you might be able to buy online for less than a hard cover, just be careful and make sure it's otherwise the same edition as what her class will be using and such if you see one.



If you're really struggling to figure out how to pay for all these books, you might want to have her ask around and see if she can either buy a book directly from someone else (usually a better deal for both you and the seller than any bookstores) or even just see if someone will loan her one for the semester if it's a book they wanted to keep for a reference once they were done with the class. It might also be possible to share a book in some classes, but that really depends on the type of class and how the professor's teaching the class -- sometimes, it's pretty easy, and sometimes it'd be hard to pass if you don't have the book available 24/7.Where can I get a grant or college books for very low cost. You can try to buy them used off a web site like Amazon, or one of those specifically designed for selling used textbooks, but generally, she may get a better price if she can buy them used off another student at her college.



But even used, textbooks will not be cheap. Textbooks are extremely expensive - those in fast changing fields such as science and tech even more so. She will be able to sell them back at the end of the term, but not for very much. She can sell them via Amazon, or to another student, often for more than she'll get at her school's bookstore.
