I am looking for a cheap website or a book store that sells books for college, that is very cheap. Any help would be great, thanksA store or a web site for cheap college books?
www.half.com it is a part of ebay but it is awesome I saved a ton of money. Also www.craigslist.com and then pick the city closest to you and also if you belong to www.facebook.com you join the group of the school you go to and they have a marketplace on there where people are willing to selll books trade book almost anything. Amazon and half.com are usually where I buy my textbooks. If you know the ISBN numbers, try http://www.addall.com/. It's a textbook search engine that allows you to compare the prices of many different sites. If you're smart about where you buy your books, you can even turn a profit from reselling your textbooks at the end of the year. Good luck!
When I was in college, I started a book exchange. The bookstore was paying pennies on the dollar to buy them back. So none of us sold them. We just traded. Whoever was taking history this semester took the history book and then passed it on, same thing with all the other core curriculum books. Of course we didn't do it with the books from our major - we kept those. But it sure saved us a bundle passing around textbooks for stuff like economics and physics. Do you belong to a club on campus? Suggest a book exchange. In the end, I never bought a book after the first semester except for the books in my majors. Otherwise, I just traded. People in other groups heard about our exchange and joined in. It sure ticked off the bookstore but screw them. They charged too much anyway. Suggest it. It saved me a bundle of money and I got through college with a 3.83 summa *** laude average. Pax- C
